Saving and reconnecting
Lore saves as you go. There’s no save button, and everyone in the campaign sees changes within moments.
Your device keeps a backup
Edits to notes, templates, Stats, and maps are also kept on your device until Lore confirms they’re saved. If your connection drops or you close the tab too early, they’re not lost:
- If you try to close the tab with unsaved changes, your browser asks you to confirm.
- When you open the campaign again, Lore replays your unsaved changes.
- If someone else changed the same thing in the meantime, Lore keeps both. Your version comes back as a copy named … (recovered).
If your device’s storage can’t be used, you’ll see Device storage failed. Download your draft before leaving. Use Download draft to save a file you can bring back with Import campaign. Retry tries the device storage again.
Reconnecting
Lore reconnects by itself when you come back online, return to the tab, or every 30 seconds while disconnected.
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sign in to resume saving. | Your session expired. Tap Sign in; your changes are kept. |
| Campaign access was denied. Your device drafts are retained. | You’re no longer a member of this campaign, for example after being kicked. |
| This campaign was opened by a different account. Reopen it to continue. | You switched accounts in another tab. Reopen the campaign. |
Lore remembers some preferences on each device: your chosen map tool, your open tabs, recent free rolls, and recently used NPCs. These don’t sync between devices.
